Your Camping Experience
Being a Greener Camping Club site, we are passionate about sustainability, nature and the environment. The site is only open to members (easy to join when booking and just £12 per year, one member per pitch) so we can rest assured we are among like-minded campers.
Enjoying the views with us on our smallholding, we have donkeys, free-range chickens (and fresh eggs!) and Herdwick sheep, plus seasonally, lambs and piglets. Home-produced meat is often available.
Each pitch has its own firepit. Perhaps spend the evening toasting marshmallows and counting stars to the soundtrack of the Tawny owl? Supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs are available to purchase in returnable crates. Barbeques can be rented from us with locally made charcoal included.
Watch for barn owls, bats, buzzards and kestrels while you relax in the peaceful north Devon landscape after a day exploring the coast, moors or many attractions locally. Take a stroll around the local lanes with views of Bideford Bay and Lundy Island.
Only 3 miles from Torrington with its range of independent shops, RHS Rosemoor and weekly pannier market, and also only 15 minutes’ drive to both Barnstaple and Bideford and not much further to the superb north Devon beaches.

Facilities
We have composting toilets and a gas-powered shower, drinking water, plus washing up with hot water. Parking is at the entrance to the site and wheelbarrows (and assistance) are available to get your gear to your pitch enabling a car-free environment for all.
We’ll chose a spot for you, endeavouring to accommodate any requests, but we may have to rest a pitch to keep the ground in great condition for the season.
We encourage the use of environmentally friendly toiletries and indeed supply some as drainage is onto our land which we work hard to maintain without the use of chemicals.
We enjoy recycling as much as possible and support the reduction of single use plastics. Please think through what you bring, separate your waste and consider whether something can be reused before throwing it away.
More is planned as we get established. We have loads of ideas collected from our years of camping ourselves! Feel free to make suggestions!
